Some Words - A Jumbled Poem - January 25, 2012

Some Words
By: Sarah A. Perlitz

Pressed petals in Shakespeare’s pages
Timeless words surpass the ages

Potted thoughts grow into ash
                                 or was it cash?

Pin-pricked lips, satin tinsel
Traverse affects within a stencil

Trickled treason country dresses
Slipped in with truffled tresses.

Barren branches twist and creak,
Raindrops seeping into leaks

Ciabatta bread in the bakery
And what kind of name is Thackery?

Church bells bringing singing song
They help to move the day            along

A Palace full of Challice (s)
                                                                          or more

A quote on my light switch by Dumbledore.

Searing embers of sage,
Billow smoke with every page.

Can you see the daytime moon?

Has magic left all too soon?
[Is there magic to every breath in tune?]
Is it really for an end?
Can you tell me where real life began?

Phallic fallacies, immeasurable
Vacant vineyards,
Woven woe
I’ve yet to see 2 feet of snow.

Dried up leaves: red and brown,
Help to wash the water down.
Questions answer what is sought
Judgments cannot be fought.

Words jumbled into phrases,
[as] simple letters on the pages.
